Still Alive

Still Alive

Just in case there might be a peep or two wondering where I’ve been, I’m still alive.

I’ve been really busy doing that “bringing home the bacon” thing.  I’ve spent the majority of this year away from home on a work trip to Florida and it’s taken a big demand on my time.  I haven’t even been able to keep up with my favorite blogs.  To complicate things even more, the BID D has been putting a soul crushing beat down on me lately.  I’m sure a lot of it has to do with being away from my family for so long.  I’ll be on the same schedule until the end of the summer so things won’t be looking up for a while yet.

Anyway, just wanted to drop a line to say I haven’t forgotten about the people that are used to seeing me comment on their blogs.  I have a lot to catch up on, and not sure when I am going to do it, but I’ll get there one day.  Hell, I might even write a real post for my own blog.

I was going to end it there but thought I might mention one other thing that has kept me from visiting the blogosphere.  I’m dealing with some medical issues.  I don’t want this to be a place where I whine about medical problems all the time so I almost didn’t say anything.  However, I think if I at least put pen to paper, or finger to keyboard, it makes me feel a little better.  I’m not going to get into details right now because this condition hasn’t been fully diagnosed yet.  However, I will say it is sapping all the physical and mental energy I have.  OK, that’s leading down Whiney Way Street so I’ll stop right there.  My hopes are that when this gets figured out and the correct actions are taken I’ll be back to my old silly self.  Take care all!

  1. Hope whatever it is turns out to be a much lesser deal that you’re worrying about!

  2. Sorry, Boo that you have stuff going on. I certainly don’t read you as the whiny type. We blog about what’s going on in our lives — all of it. Love you, man.

  3. Sometimes it’s okay to whine. Or at least share, if you’re so inclined, or not if you aren’t. Health is a very personal thing, but I hope you get better soon, and that it turns out that you’ve just been eating too much of the bacon you’ve been bringing home.
There’s a point here somewhere and I think if I keep searching around for it like this I’ll jab my finger on it. The important thing is when you feel like a comeback I’ll be here.

    1. You always manage to get a chuckle out of me Chris. Thanks and hopefully I’ll get a chance to catch up on all your posts soon.

  4. Great Dances With Wolves gif/meme/whatever the hell that thing is!

Also… Wil Wheaton posted about night terrors and anxieties just two posts ago, and his most recent one is about all the positive feedback he got (as well as just feeling BETTER, gosh darn it!), so know that
    1. you’re not whiney
    2. your readers care about you
    3. this is not the end (to quote “Best Exotic Marigold Hotel”)

  5. Ari, do take good care of yourself and don’t you worry, we will be here when you get back. I hope that whatever health issues you have going on, they resolve quickly, and you get back to feeling like a million bucks! Oh, and tell Big D to fuck right off. I know, if only it were that easy. Still, he really can do just that! Big hug from me, my friend!

    1. Thanks Tanya! I hope all is going well in your world. Hopefully I’ll be getting some answers and a plan of action on this issue soon and I can get caught back up with everybody.
